HALAGA NG MGA PAGSUSULIT

Ang uri ng pagsusulit na ibinibigay ng isang guro ay maaaring makaapekto sa estilo ng pagkatuto ng mga mag-aaral. Halimbawa, kung ang mga sagot sa mga pagsusulit na ibinibigay ng isang guro ay mga (recall) o mga isinasaulo, ang mag-aaral ay masasanay sa pagsasaulo ng mga hiwa-hiwalay na konsepto. Sa kabilang dako, kung mga sanaysay naman ang mga ibinibigay na pagsusulit, ang mga magaaral ay masasanay ng pang-unawa sa mga kongkretong konsepto at tema, at ang mga kaugnayan ng mga ito.

Ang pagsusulit ay mahalaga sa mag-aaral at guro . Ang pagsusulit ay nagsisilbing sukatan ng isang guro kung naging epektibo ang mga stratehiyang ginamit sa pagtuturo, basehan sa pagbibigay ng marka, at basehan din kung natamo ang layunin na inilaan para sa mga aralin.

Para sa mga mag-aaral, ang pagsusulit ay nagsisilbing panghikayat para sa pagkatuto. Sa pamamagitan ng mga pagsusulit nalalaman nila ang antas ng kanilang natutunan, at ang mga aspeto na kailangan pa nilang paunlarin. Kapag ang mag-aaral ay nakakuha ng mababang marka sa pagsusulit, nagiging motibasyon ito sa kanya upang pagbutihin niya at magsikap makakuha ng mataas na marka sa mga susunod na pagsusulit.

Pagsusulit ang basehan ng pagtuklas sa kalakasan at kahinaan ng mag-aaral man o ng guro, kaya’t ang mga ito ay dapat ihandang mabuti at nang buong pag-iingat.

There was a teacher, very hardworking, loving, and always considerate on her pupils performance. She usually went to school very early and went home so late so she could prepare her lessons. She was an asset of the school. Despite of the situation, she was still teacher 1 for 20 years in the service. Later, this teacher became unmotivated to perform her duties because of her frustrations of not being promoted.

This teacher should be given a chance to be promoted. There should be somebody who could help and motivate her to do something for her to be promoted. Proper orientation and guidance is necessary in order that she will be aware on the procedures on how to prepare and organize papers for promotion. In this way, the teachers’enthusiasm in performing her duties will be evident again. Teachers became happy and motivated again to perform their duties. School policies and projects were easily implemented because of the participation and support of the teachers.

Teachers should feel their superiors’concern, care for their welfare and the willingness to support them to be promoted for a higher salary. Projects and advocacies will be supported in return by these teachers, as a result, excellent performance on their mandate as a teacher will be evident.
