BE THE LIGHT OF OUR CHILDREN

-

DOLORES PINGOL LABANDARIA

Learner-teacher relationship is a necessity in the classroom. Most of the time of the learners are spent inside the classroom for the entire school year. In this scenario, it is a paramount consideration that a good relationship exists between the teacher and the learners.

Classroom is considered as the second home, which makes the teacher as a second parent. The parents and the entire government entrust the future generations in the hands of the noblest teacher. Even Dr. Jose Rizal admitted that the youths are the hope of the nation.

In the classroom, teachers give their best to educate the young minds. It starts with how the instill knowledge, concepts, and truths to their learners. The knowledge that they gained from these experiences become their weapon to win the war against ignorance. We do now live in the world where learning really matters. In addition, they teach lives. Teachers inculcate to the minds of the kids the value of living; how to live in this world; and what they need to do to overcome the world. This what makes the learning endeavor meaningful.

To do this, teachers guide these kids as they set their foot to the world. The reality of the world makes it tougher for these young minds to move on their own. Learners need light to guide them in their journey to face the darkness of the world.

Even though each teacher has his or her own style of teaching and guiding, we have one goal of molding and guiding the future of the world. In spite the heavy task bestowed to us, we are still able to sacrifice things that matter for us for the sake of these kids.

We are a candle that consumes itself to light the path of our childr en .
