BENEFITS OF LEARNING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Philippine, as an archipelago, is divided into many islands with different unique cultures. In addition, it also has different languages, which serve as identity of each group of people.

Language functions as the medium of communication of people. Yet, there are also different languages in different parts of the world which makes tough for someone to communicate and to have trade with other neighboring countries. The difference in the language used hinders what a person wants to transfer to other people. In this wide world where we have, the English is known as the universal language. Why is it very important to learn it?

As the language of the world, it is very salient for anyone to learn English for it opens various opportunities. It bridges one country to another because it is the language that is understood by most of the people. It enables people to be globally competent in terms of communication.

English is also used for businesses. The economic changes and updates are being reported to different parts of the world using this language. Even the countries who are hiring interpreter before are now doing their best to learn English. This only proves how important the English language in our lives.

New knowledge are introduced and cascaded in other countries through the English language. One will not be late with updates if he or she was able to acquire the English as a second language.

It is now high time for most of the teachers to embrace the language. But it does not necessarily mean that we will forget our own language and identity. We cannot deny anymore the fact that for a country to improve, English must be learned and used.
