THE IMPACT OF NURTURING LEARNING ENVIRONMENT TO LEARNERS

To become a better citizen of the country, it is necessary for all learners to achieve education that is liberating and nurturing.Learning environment is one of the key factors in developing the school children. This term also refers to the culture of a school or class. In addition, it is also the manner of learners’interaction and treatment to one another as well as the strategies of teachers in organizing a classroom setting to facilitate learning.
The school is a second home of the young learners. School children spend many hours in learning different subjects. With this, excitement and happiness should be ensured in the learning environment. The holistic development of the learners is achievable when they are exposed to nurturing learning environment.Teachers prepare a motivating classroom where learners increase interest in achieving academic excellence.
Effective learning environment encompasses the content, skills, learning resources, and assessment. In terms of content, teachers present the learning goals and structure of the lessons. Skills include the learning enhancement activities that will promote lifelong learners. Learning resources compose of instructional materials, technology, facilities, and the efficient time of the teachers in providing a quality education among the young learners. In assessment, learners are given opportunities to accomplish variety of portfolio, performance task, projects and written examination. These components of learning environment must be given a focus to produce a creative teaching.
Teachers’ creativity in creating an appropriate learning environment is indeed significant in attaining the successful learning. The total development of all the components of learning environment really supports learning. Learning environment has a great impact towards learners’improvement, therefore it is required to be more motivating and nurturing.
