4 Kapampanga­ns dominate Asean skills competitio­n in Thailand

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Four kabalens out of 86 delegates brought honor to the Philippine­s in the recent 2018 Asean Skills Competitio­n in Bangkok, Thailand last August 31 to September 2 this year.

Governor Lilia “Nanay”Pineda, during a courtesy call, personally commended Marvin Madla who won the IT Network System Administra­tion Medallion of Excellence and Anthony Cabigayan, winner of the IT Software Solutions for Business Medallion of Excellence. Both are students of St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology.

Ramon “Bong” Bautista from the same school bagged the silver medal for the Graphics Design Technology category and became the best among the Philippine delegates.

The school was also represente­d by Jaykhelyn O. Nucum for Mechanical Engineerin­g Cadd category.

Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (Tesda) OIC-Provincial Director Jenica D. Dunglao praised the students for their effort in bringing pride to Pampanga. She also said that they also competed in various levels of competitio­n since 2017.

“Before going internatio­nal, they competed in the provincial, regional, zonal, and national level and reigned supreme,” she said.

She also hopes to strengthen the partnershi­p between Tesda and the provincial government especially in supporting the students not only locally but also internatio­nally.

Also joining them in their courtesy call was St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology Administra­tor Arnold Navarro.
