BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The Provincial Government of Bataan launched Monday a project that challenges residents to plant and grow one million trees.

It is being implemented in partnership with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Sangguniang Kabataan.

“In line with our vision to attain sustainable economic growth, this project would contribute to the environment because the tress that

we would plant will greatly help lessen pollutants,” Garcia stressed.

Aside from the massive tree-planting activity, residents are also encouraged to submit a geo-tagged photo documentation for a chance to win various prizes.

For her part, DENR Bataan Division Chief Mila Ramirez lauded government officials and community leaders for their efforts to enhance and preserve the environment.

“With the help of our leaders, let us all work together to protect the environment by fully supporting this kind of projects,” Ramirez sai d.
