44 DSWD wards get aromathera­py session from Japanese nationals

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Some 44 wards under the under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Developmen­t’s (DSWD) Haven facility here r ecei v ed aromathera­py sessions from members of the Japanese care group Mirai Ni Kibou Foundation.

Japanese nationals Yumi and Kazumasa Nakada were joined by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Central Pampanga, Quota Internatio­nal of Pampanga and Rotaractor­s.

The sessions aimed to help the emotional and physical well-being of the women and abused children under the care of the center in Magalang town. The DSWD facility is nestled near the foot of Mt. Arayat.

The therapy is an initiative and a new type of therapy designed to counter stress and trauma.

More than the socio-civic benefits and medical missions, people who meet with the Japanese nationals benefit from the cultural exchange of values and friendship.

The Mirai Ni Kibou Foundation is a Japanese socio-civic organizati­on based in the Philippine­s working at providing needed social services to indigents in the country.
