TEACHER HEROES

-

NORWEEN T. MALONZO

Teachers are not just merely agents of knowledge but the pillars and foundation of the school to achieve quality education. They serve as second parents of the learners by extending their compassionate hearts in guiding each learner. This is why they are not just called educators but the teacher heroes of our generation.

The impact they leave with their students is immeasurable. Educators become the inspiration of learners to persevere in their studies. These are the main reasons why annually the world is united in celebrating teacher’s day. Teaching is never an easy task. In fact, it requires planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating to ensure that the teaching objectives are met. Teachers also need to address diversity of learners guided with principles of morality, fairness and ethics. Unfortunately, there were cases of depression and suicide attempts link with the teaching profession because their tasks are really challenging. There are a number of expectations they need to accomplish. Teachers also face the different attitudes and priorities of new generation of students that keep on changing overtime. In addition to this, they are also encouraged to continue with their post graduate studies. Teachers need to balance their social, personal and professional lives. For the love of their service, they continue to do what they do best and this is to mold young minds into discovering their talents and intelligences. Teachers create a timeless legacy in the development of every student they handle. Kudos to all teachers who never surrender in their commitment to serve the learners, school, community, nation and world.
