HAU Comm League hosts 1st ‘Commvention’

The Holy Angel University’s (HAU) Communicators’ League organized the first-ever gathering of Communication students in Central Luzon last Friday at the University Theatre with the theme “Leviosa: Magic and Beyond” coined after the popular series Harry Potter.

Faculty members and students from the Asia Pacific College of Advanced Studies, Bataan Peninsula State University, Colegio De San Juan De Letran, Gordon College, Tarlac State University, University of the Assumption, Our Lady of Fatima University, Saint Mary’s Angels College of Pampang and Pampanga State Agricultural University witnessed the exhibition of the four houses of media-hogwartz, namely: Slytherin, the house of film and photography; Hufflepuff, the house of broadcasting; Ravenclaw,the house of advertising and public relations and Gryffindor—the house of journalism.

The event’s resource speakers, Shaira Luna, a renowned photographer; Alex Del Rosario Castro, a creative director and ABS-CBN & ANC reporter, Lyza Aquino all threw magic spells as they shared their expertise in photography, advertising, journalism, and broadcasting.

The pre-event competition comprised of news, editorial and feature writing, photography, public service announcement; while the radio drama was performed live.

The overall champion was Tarlac State University, followed by Bataan Peninsula State University (first runner-up) and Colegio De San Juan De Letran (second runner up).
