Andanar warns: Uson can now freely attack critics

- OMMUNICATIONS Secretary Martin Andanar has warned critics of his former subordinate, resigned Communications Assistant Secretary Esther Margaux “Mocha” Uson, of her retaliation, as she can now use social media and her radio program to freely attack them a

"Para doon sa mga kalaban ni Mocha, ay mag-handa na kayo (To Mocha's enemies, get ready for her retaliation)," the Communications Chief said in a local radio Thursday.

"Meron pa rin siyang platform bukod sa kanyang social media. Meron siyang radio platform kung saan pwede niyang batikusin 'yung mga gusto niyang batikusin (She has the platform other than social media. She has a radio platform which she can use to attack those she wants to attack)," he added.

Uson announced her resignation on Wednesday, October 3, during the Senate’s deliberation of the proposed 2019 budget for the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), which was allegedly delayed because of her continued absence.

Uson said she is resigning so the budget will be approved but made it clear that her resignation is not the end of her fight.

Andanar for his part added he will continue to support Uson as both of them are “die-hard” supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Andanar said Uson was receiving proposals from various political parties to run in the Senate or the House of Representatives.

"Maraming nag-iinvite kay Mocha na mga party-list at meron ding nananawagan, nag-uudyok sa kanya na tumakbong senador. So na kay Mocha na 'yan kung ano ang kanyang desisyon," the Communications chief said in a radio interview.

(Many party-lists are inviting Mocha and many are making calls, encouraging her to run for senator. So it's up to Mocha to make a decision.)

"I will support her. Hanggang ngayon naman, bilang isang die-hard Duterte supporter, I'm willing to support Mocha kung anuman 'yung gagawin niya, be that political or in her life as an artist or political blogger," he added.

(I will support her. Until now, as a die-hard Duterte supporter, I'm willing to support Mocha whatever her decision is, be that political or in her life as an artist or political blogger.)

In a September 28 letter sent to Duterte, but was made public on Wednesday, Uson said her resignation is effective Monday, October 1.

Uson has frequently been in hot water during her stint at the PCOO for propagating fake news and being involved in controversies.

Recently, she earned the public's ire over a video featuring a lewd "pepedederalismo" jingle and another video making fun of sign language.
