ONE of the best-ever food combinations has got to be coffee and pancakes. If you’re fan of both or simply just craving for that extra delicious breakfast staple, then Red Woodberry Cafe and Pancakes is the place to go.

The all-in-one cafe and dessert place, located at SM City Telabastagan, opened last May and since then has garnered a lot of loyal diners primarily because of its wide range of specialties.

With their Kapampangan customers in mind, Head of Operations Barbara Jane Salazar shared that Red Woodberry aims to offer high quality food paired with efficient service and homey ambiance at a highly accessible location.

She noted that the venture’s strong brand equity is anchored on assortment of creative menu options from hefty all-day breakfast menu, international comfort food, light meals, and all-time classics.

“This cafe was inspired by the owner’s visit in New York where he saw this kind of concept, where one can choose from variety of coffee, blended beverages, pancakes, waffles, and crepes, as well as generous dishes that can be indulged any time of the day,” she said.

“We added a number of Filipino favorites like our best -sel l i ng Champorado with Tuyo and Filipino Breakfast platter composed of garlic rice, longganisa, scrambled eggs, gourmet tuyo, and season tomato for our customers who crave for familiar flavors,” she added.

But for those who want to try something unique, Salazar highlighted that they are proud of their must-try steaks including their special Striploin Steak and Beef Tenderloin Steak.

She added that another highly-recommended is their sumptuous Surf and Turf, their take on the famous main course which combines seafood and read meat. Their version? Tasty grilled prawns with lemon butter sauce, tenderloin steak in creamy mustard sauce, and vegetable salad, paired with either mashed potato or rice on the side.

If you’re a pasta aficionado, Red Woodberry also got you covered. The homegrown cafe serves a myriad of choices like Chicken Pesto Pasta, Gourmet Tuyo Pasta, Shrimp Aglio, Creamy Meaty Carbonara, Spaghetti Meatballs, and Tuna Pasta— all served with pesto bread.

Speaking of bread, you might also want to try the cafe’s flatbread pizzas baked fresh daily. Take your pick from the handcrafted Pesto Prosciutto, Three Mushroom Pizza, Margherita, Smoke Salmon, and Chorizo Pepperoni.

Meanwhile, if sandwiches and burgers are your thing, then you won’t have to worry as Red Woodberry also serves numerous choices, from the classic cheese, ham, and egg sandwich to the more filling and savory fare like Bella’s Burger, served with pure beef patty, crispy bacon, pickles, tomato, and caramelized onion.

Now, we’re down to the star of the show, Red Woodberry’s trademark desserts. If you’re a first timer, better order the Chocolate Overload Pancake. It is as sinful as it gets. Imagine a heavenly made pancake, topped with an irresistible scoop of chocolate ice cream, grated chocolate, whipped butter, chocolate syrup, and of course, whipped cream!

Furthermore, if your sweet tooth shout for other decadent flavors, there are also luscious fruity choices and combinations which are also available for waffles and crepes. Make sure to sample the Blueberry and Cream Cheese waffle or the Banana Cinnamon crepe.

With a drink menu that’s as extensive as the food choices, Red Woodberry’s wide range of signature coffee blends and refreshing drinks like smoothies, fruit shake, milk shake, iced tea and sodas will surely complete your satisfying meal.

Red Woodberry is located at the 2nd level of SM City Telabastagan (near SM Food Court).
