GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING

The PTA Officers of our school, Dolores Elementary School are very supportive enough not only to their children but to the activities and projects of the school as well. In their meeting last February 7,2018, the principal together with the PTA officers and teachers came up to holding a Grand Alumni Homecoming to the graduates of the school from Batch 1964 to Batch 2004.It was scheduled on May 9,2018 at 5:00 PM at the covered court of the barangay hall, Hacienda Dolores, Porac, Pampanga. The said event was conceptualized and was made to realize its project of having a covered court in our school where the pupils would benefit more.

The three months preparation was used in distributing the tickets and patron to alumni. Teachers and PTA officers had their own assigned task in the distribution of tickets and patron. The use of internet made the dissemination of information easy especially to the alumni who are working abroad. They extended their financial support by sending their donation to the school.

The day of May 9,2018 came and surprisingly, there were more than three hundred alumni attended the event. It started with a program and there were many prizes given through a raffle draw solicited from the local government of the barangay and the municipality of Porac.

It was indeed a very momentous and remarkable event since it was supported by the barangay officials, municipal officers, parents of the community and the alumni. The fund of more than two hundred thousand made the project be realized of putting up our own covered court. It was due to the collaborative effort of the principal, teachers, parents and the support of the alumni that made the event a great success.
