PCL prexy goes for board seat; confident of Kambilan support

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Board member aspirant and incumbent Porac councilor Olga Frances “Fritzie” David Dizon yesterday filed her certificat­e of candidacy for second district board member at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Provincial Office here on Monday.

David-Dizon, who is running under the Kapanalig at Kambilan ning Memalen Pampanga (Kambilan) of Governor Lilia “Nanay”Pineda, said that she is confident of the party’ssupport for her candidacy in the 2019 polls. David-Dizon said that she would like to help in the executive agenda of gubernator­ial-aspirant Dennis Pineda.

“The service programs and legacy initiative­s of Nanay must continue.

I believe that I could be of help in ensuring that the district would be represente­d in the next era of governance,” David-Dizon added.

David-Dizon was joined during her filing by dozens of supporters from Porac town as well the entire mayoralty slate of his brother Dexter Albert David who is set at running for Porac mayor in the midterm elections.

David-Dizon currently holds an ex-officio seat at the Sanggunian­g Panlalawig­an and is incumbent president of the Philippine Councilors’League (PCL) Pampanga Chapter.

She is the sister of Porac Vice-Mayor Dexter David and daughter of the late Porac Mayor Roy David and former Pampanga acting governor Edna De Ausen-David.

She was appointed board member after her mother died on November 9, 2010 but did not run for an elective position in 2013 to focus more time on her family. She later entered town politics as municipal councilor in 2016. David-Dizon will run for board member in Pampanga’s second district which covers the towns of Floridabla­nca, Lubao, Porac, Santa Rita, Guagua and Sasmuan.
