BORN THIS WAY

-

GELYN JOY P. MANALANG

“I’m beautiful in my way

‘Cause God makes no mistakes

I’m on the right track, baby I was born this way Don’t hide yourself in regret

Just love yourself and you’re set

I’m on the right track, baby

I was born this way (Born this way)”

(Song by: Lady Gaga)

I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga, but this song made me realized of something that should be respect of.

Education promotes gender sensitivity and equality among its constituents. In a classroom setting, diversity is common with the learners. Gender, Age, religion, and the likes mark discrepancies. How do we value culture differences and equality?

We cannot deny the fact that belonging to the third gender is one of the issues nowadays. Some people cannot accept this arising number of man or a woman who belong to this gender.

In school, we can see a lot of pupils that are becoming of one them. They are sometimes the entertainer of the class. Their actions make the class in full of high sounding voices and happiness. Their talents are extra ordinary. They are the stress reliever. But still they are misjudged. Being bullied and teased because of their appearance. Drag down because of the kind of fashion they have. They don’t ask any in return, only respect and acceptance.

They may be born the way that differ from many, but their also humans, humans that need to be care of, respect of and most importantly to be accept in a society that is full of judgment.

Whatever road we follow, or what sexuality we choose what matters most are the things that would make us happy. Believe that God created you for a reason. There’s nothing wrong in being different because in the eyes of our creator we are one, we are what we are, and we are one of his child.
