The Zoning features of Mabalacat City

-

COMING ON THE HEELS of a boundary dispute with the municipality of Bamban and the province of Tarlac over Barangay Calumpang, the Zoning Office of Mabalacat City, headed by CPDC chief and CA Rosan S. Paquia, the city has firmed up its claim over said uphill area which, historically, has been part of the territorial jurisdiction of the city.

Residents of Barangay Calumpang have recognized and accepted Mabalacat City as their supervising authority and through the years have exercised their civil rights and duties in the City, this, until Bamban laid claim over Calumpang, now the subject of claim and counterclaim to rule over it.

Records will show that Mabalacat has an anterior and superior claim over Calumpang, meaning, it has ancient topographic and geographic records to show that it really belongs to Mabalacat, contrary to the claims and manifestations of Bamban and the province of Tarlac.

Territorial disputes regarding boundaries are to be resolved by both the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pampanga and Tarlac.

The public cemetery at sitio Aguso, Barangay San Francisco, Mabalacat City has undergone massive facelifting through repainting. All the tombs were repurbished, free of charge, courtesy of Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo who said, in a show of compassion, that these structures were deserving of care and respect of the people of Mabalacat City.

This is a singular act of Mayor Cris which showed his magnanimity an act obviously not done by the previous administration. Now this act is being emulated by Bamban and Magalang.

I feel welcomed whenever I step into SM malls. When I visited SM Pampanga, mall manager Aaron Montenegro and his assistant Paul Christian attended to me and invited me to lunch at Vikings, a well-patronized resto.

At SM City Clark which I visited October 19th, I was welcomed by energetic Bernard Pame and newbie Engr. Chavez, a fellow Kapampangan who again treated me to lunch at Dainty. Next was a movie treat. Mall manager Andrea Madlangbayan made sure I was attended to. Thanks a lot, guys!

Featured in this festival are horror movies for audiences which prefer this type or genra of movies. This promises to be a good treat for them.
