Currently in the country for a short vacation in Palawan and Siargao, Makisig Morales said he is already busy completing wedding plans with his fiancée Nicole Joson. The couple are set to tie the knot at the end of June next year and moving to a new city in Australia to start their new life t o get h er.

“After this trip dun muna ako sa Australia for a while. Pagpla-planuhan namin yung big day namin. Open ako for anything. Siguro pinag-iisipan ko pa pero I’ll probably move to Sydney kasi madaming job opportunities dun lalo na sa culinary kasi passion ko talaga yun eh. Masaya ako pag ginagawa ko yun. And if ever may job opportunity rin sa Philippines sa ABS-CBN willing ako umuwi,” he told PUSH in an exclusive interview during the Philippine Animal Welfare Society’s annual Halloween event in Quezon City.

After returning to his family in Perth, Australia when the fantaserye series Bagani ended last August, Makisig said he was already determined to propose to his new girlfriend Nicole Joson even after only dating for a few months. The 24-year-old actor said it was only his parents who knew about the surprise. Alam nila daddy at mommy.

Even though they both happened to be based in Australia, Makisig said he met Nicole while he was still in the Philippines, after attending a house party of a common friend. He said his parents immediately liked her when he introduced them online. “First time ko sila napakilala nung nandito pa sa Pilipinas. Kasi same time naman dito at sa Perth. So sabay kami nag-dinner, si mommy, daddy, ako, at si Nicole,” he recalled. Makisig said he also was warmly welcomed by Nicole’s mother as well. “Si tita sobrang supportive. Yung family ko din. Before pa kami magkita, nag-memessage na siya sa akin,” he added.
