No matter how neither careful nor tactful we are, there are things we can’t control nor be avoided and these will be the cause of stress. Oxford dictionary defined stress as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstan­ces. Medical term as www.medicinene­t.com explains stress is a physical, mental, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension. Stress can be external (from the environmen­t, psychologi­cal or social situations) or internal (illness, or from a medical procedure). Too much stress can cause physical illness such as slows down digestion, palpitatio­n, loss of hearing etc. And can also lead to anxiety and depression.

What are the things that cause stress? The following circumstan­ces may effect someone and can cause stress in the life of teacher, being unhappy with job, having a heavy worked or too much responsibi­lity, working long hours, having to give speeches in front of colleagues, facing discrimina­tion or harassment at work naughty students and paper works. How can these be overcome by a teacher? How can distress or negative circumstan­ces become eustress? To live a better and happier life one must learn how to cope with stress.

According to Wikipedia Stress management is defined as is a wide spectrum of techniques and psychother­aphies aimed at controllin­g a person’s level stress, as advocated by Hans Selye, distress refers to stress with negative consequenc­es and uestress refers to circumstan­ces that are helpful.

Some helpful tips in managing stress; keep a positive outlook in life, exercise regularly, take a vacation, eat healthy balance die, avoid negative people in the work place, and accept that there are things you can’t control.

Learn to take everything in the most optimistic way that even the things that make you feel you distress can be used to have a promotion, these can maximize your potentials and become a better person and you can see yourself happy and you always have agood working relationsh­ip with your coll eagu es.
