Lazatin urgesjunior high school students to dream big
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Vice-Mayor Jimmy Lazatin urged junior high school students of this city to dream big for themselves and their families.
Lazatin, who gave a message during the distribution of subsidies of junior high school students here, said that the future of the city rests upon the dreams and aspirations of the next generation of Fer nandi nos.
Lazatin, whose program initiatives include development of the education sector here, said that young students should also factor into their ambitions ways that they could help their families and their city.
“The young generation of Fernandinos should dream big and those in the marginalized sector should endeavor to help their families rise from poverty,” Lazatin stressed, adding that the city is doing its part in helping students finish their education to be able to reach higher learning and eventually land jobs.
Lazatin said that the distributed subsidies to junior high school students from integrated schools, during a program held at Heroes Hall here, aims to lessen the burden of the educational costs on the part of families.
A total of 1,052 participants received the educational assistance.
The students came from San Nicolas Integrated School, San Pablo Integrated School, Saguin Integrated School, City of San Fernando West Integrated School, San Jose Integrated School, San Agustin Integrated School, Sta. Lucia Integrated School, Telabastagan Integrated School, San Matias High School, San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen, Portero High School, Pandaras Integrated School, Architect Emilio Cinense Memorial Integrated School, Northville High School, and San Isidro Integrated School.
Each registered grade 9 and 10 student received P2,000.
