Tourism groups unveil visitors lounge at Clark Airport
Numerous
travel and tourism groups on Friday led the launching of the Clark Visitors Lounge at the arrival area of Clark International Airport.
A joint project of The Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies of Pampanga (ATTAP), Greater Clark Visitors Bureau (GCVB), Hotel and Restaurants Association in Pampanga (HARP), and Pampanga Agents Travel Society (PATS), the new facility aims serve tourists visiting Pampanga and Central Luzon.
PATS President Lerma Quiambao shared that the opening of the visitors lounge is one way their organizations can extend their services and promote the region and its mustvisit destinations.
“We believe that this project is just in time for the influx of tourists and passengers utilizing our airport. The Clark Visitors Lounge is actually a proactive booth where arriving tourists can get brochures, watch videos featuring our region’s emerging sites, have access on the charging station, and of course, have their photos or selfies taken,” she said.
“This is also in preparation for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games 2019 set here in Clark where we expect a lot of foreign visitors and international delegates. Our groups are committed to propel our region’s tourism sector and economic growth through many initiatives like this one,” she added.
GCVB President Rina La O, for her part, vowed that their group, along with other organizations will strengthen their partnership as they undertake future projects anchored on promoting Clark International Airport as a viable gateway for both local and foreign travelers.
“We are so thrilled with the collaboration of ATTAP, PATS, HARP, and GCVB whose heart and passion are dedicated to serve tourism. The synergy at play is a manifestation of inclusivity and unity. Together we are strong,” she relayed.
“Thank you Clark International Airport Corporation for the opportunity to have our presence here at Clark International Airport, as we represent different sectors whose advocacy is centered on totally inclusive tourism,” she continued.
Aside from the new project, she highlighted that GCVB has also recently launched its digital smartphone app that offers a list of member attractions and enables users to acquire instant rewards when they visit the destination using the app.
CIAC President Jaime Melo, who is also present during the launching, then lauded the groups for their significant endeavor.
“This new lounge is a welcome welcome addition and improvement to the airport. We are glad that we have active partners in the industry who also share our vision of serving the travelling public and uplifting the tourism sector in the region,” he said.
