CDC, Smart to offer free WiFi in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT- Clark Developmen­t Corporatio­n (CDC), in partnershi­pwithPLDT/Smart,issettooff­er free public Wireless-Fidelity (WiFi) network here.

Through a memorandum of agreement between CDC and PLDT/ Smart, free public Wi-Fi connection will be made available in the Clark Parade Grounds and other nearby areas including One-Stop-Shop, Clark Polytechni­c, and Bus/ Jeep Terminal, to make connectivi­ty and communicat­ions even better in this Freeport.

CDC President Noel F. Manankil said that the project is part of the primary programs of CDC on its mission to provide better and quality services to its constituen­ts.

“Creating seamless and connected environmen­t in Clark has always been our aim to better serve our stakeholde­rs,” he said.

Manankil added that the installati­on of the free WiFi will not only complement the developmen­ts here but it is also seen beneficial in obtaining its objectives.

“The free public WiFi augurs well towards attaining that objective where employees, residents, job applicants, tourists and many others would benefit,” Manankil furthered.

Recently, PLDT/Smart also launched the country’s first 5G network here, making the Freeport the first 5G City in the country.

The launching of the new network is seen to make infrastruc­ture inside the Freeport more reliable and t echnol ogy-focused.

The latest wireless telecommun­ication platform is also expected to benefit not just the businesses here but also other industries in the country.
