GWD-PrimeWater partnership celebrates 1st anniversary
The unwavering partnership of the Guagua Water District (GWD) and PrimeWater Guagua celebrated its First Joint Venture Anniversary, with festivities held at the GWD AVR in San Matias, Guagua, Pampanga on November 5.
The momentous occasion was graced by representatives from the local government and from both the GWD and PrimeWater: Guagua Mayor Dante D. Torres; the GWD Board of Directors; GWD General Manager Eduardo P. Rodriguez; PrimeWater Operations Manager for North Luzon JV Projects Atty. Cezar Ong; PrimeWater Senior Consultant Engr. Olimpio Gusi; PrimeWater Pampanga Cluster Head and Branch Manager of PrimeWater Floridablanca Marnellie Bautista; and PrimeWater Guagua Branch Manager Donna Mae Perez.
It is noteworthy that for the 1st year of the GWD-PrimeWater partnership, it has made significant improvements and has implemented different projects for the improvement of the water supply and services in the municipality.
Some of the partnership’s projects are the improvement and rehabilitation of pump stations, pipe replacement and pipe improvement projects at Barangay Sta. Filomena, San Rafael, Plaza Burgos, Bancal, San Miguel and Sta. Ursula. It has also purchased a new generator set and sand filter for its San Miguel Pump Station.
All of these projects aim to benefit the people of Guagua as it will help improve the water pressure in all existing service connections of the aforementioned barangays and their adjacent areas, and will give assurance of safe and potable water being delivered to their households.
As for the future projects, the partnership has a numerous in its line-up, all for the security and sustainability of the water supply and services in the municipality. The partnership is enthusiastic that with everyone’s support and cooperation, its goal of contributing to the betterment of lives of the people of Guagua through the provision of quality services will be achieved.
