GRBank, BSP unite for advocacy programs
GRBank has recently marked another mile stone as it embarked into formally partnering with its regulator, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas San Fernando Branch (BSPSan Fernando Branch) for a Memorandum of Understanding Signing on its Program on Financial Literacy Campaign and on the BSP’s Clean Note Policy.
BSP San Fernando Deputy Director Rosario P. Layug-Rafael, together with Ma. Lourdes I. Laconsay and Janice Ocampo represented the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. From its side, GRBank President and CEO Jose Antonio Blas L. Carlos, together with other management officers, represented GRBank.
A short program was conducted showcasing GRBank’s history and journey as well as future plans, as presented through an audio-visual presentation. Moreover, the Financial Literacy Campaign program documented through the years was also viewed by the participants.
Messages were given by the two heads from BSP and GRBank. To quote BSP Deputy Director Rosario P. Layug-Rafael, “The famous Scientist in the like of Charles Darwin on the Theory of Evolution says, It is not the strongest of the species that survives, but the most adaptable to change; and truly, GRBank has evolved through the years and if I may say, GRBank – The Bank for All Seasons”.
Layug-Rafael praised GRBanks’ efforts in providing products and services that cater to the grass roots, to the rural folks where it is most needed. To this, she congratulated GRBank for its efforts in educating the people in the rural areas and for becoming a catalyst in improving the lives of the people, not only in the rural areas where its 22 branches are strategically located, but of the Filipino nation as a whole.
GRBank President and CEO Jose Antonio Blas L. Carlos, for his part, acknowledge with profound humility and gratitude the recognition the BSP gave to GRBank in being its first and official partner in campaigning for the Financial Literacy and Clean Note Policy.
Carlos reiterated its continuous commitment to serve the unbanked, under banked and those that have no access to banking products and services through these programs and projects that they can avail of.
He then thanked Layug-Rafael for the partnership and vowed that GRBank will continue to support the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas – its projects and programs, as they work together to serve the people not only in the countryside but of the whole nation.
