The sweetest Christmas launched at SM City Cabanatuan
T his Christmas is extra sweet and special as SM City Cabanatuan finally launched the 35 feet tall cupcake inspired Christmas tree centerpiece on Sunday, November 11 at the mall’s event center.
SM Regional Manager Ian Ezekiel Balao said it is in the longstanding tradition of making the year-end season the best for mall-goers of all ages.
“These launches would signal the start of the holiday season – the most wonderful time of the year. SM will bring you the best Christmas in every possible way you can imagine – festive, bright, and magical and the sweetest for Cabanatuan City,” said Balao.
The event was graced with the presence of the provincial tourism office represented by Armando Giron; Director Brigida Pili from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); PSupt. Ponciano Zafra from Philippine National Police and representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
At SM Megacenter Cabanatuan, another SM mall in the city, launched a colorful Christmas Village last Friday, November 9 with the message of love, peace and joy as the attraction this Yuletide season.
"It’s Christmas time! This year is extra special as we give the mall- goers an encouragement of sending the most wonderful gift that they can give this Christmas and that is love, peace and joy for family, friends and to the world," said Assistant Mall Manager Carolyn Licup.
The event was attended by the Cabanatuan City Council headed by Vice-Mayor Ej Ballesteros Joson.
The annual Bears of Joy campaign once again invited mall-goers to take part in the noble initiative. For every P200, shoppers get two bears – one they can bring home and the other they can donate.
The donations will be given to charities along with personal notes from shoppers, making this year’s Christmas memorable for many children.
Of course, Santa Claus joined the fun with kids from Global Kids Academy and Amazing Grace Christian School and shoppers delighted in dazzling sights, joyful sounds, festive tastes, holiday finds, and all the Yuletide feels through this celebration.
