As a tradition which he in 2014, Lazatin distributes some 8,000 Christmas hams every year as a way of thanking people for their continuous support to his political and public service career which started in 2013.
“Magmula po ng una akong manungkulan bilang konsehal ay walang sawa po ang natanggap kong suporta, which is why I have made it a point to show my gratitude every Christmas,” Lazatin said.
“Kung tutuusin, maliit lang po na bagay ang pamimigay ng ham compared to the overwhelming support I’ve received, but I hope that in this manner, I am able to show how thankful I am,” he added.
If elected, the oppositionist councilor said he will work to bring back his father’s program of providing free medicine in rural health centers.
Lazatin lamented that the medicine program had stopped during the previous administrations.
