TEACHING PRACTICES AND METHODS TO ENCOURAGE CREATIVITY IN THE CLASSROOM

Teachers are creative in different ways, keeping the student’s attention is one of the challenging role that they need to overcome. The physical environment or the classroom setting of the students must be conducive to learning. An environment where students think divergently, and work collaboratively make them think freely and creatively. Another is, assessing student’s creative strength and fostering their creativity are the first entity to consider. Commending students with positive feedback with their best creation,develops their confidence and display their artistic ideas and creative work more.Then, engage student’s in the classroom during group work and providing problem solving activities in different scenarios.
Providing differentiated instructions in the classroom is one of the methods and effective to deal with diversity of learners to boost their originality. Students show their best creativity when they enjoy what they are doing. Giving educational games, inventing, experimenting while learning and providing manipulative instructional materialsare the teaching practices that would help encourage student’s imagination. Helping the students to find personal relevance in learning the activities is one of the greatest practices that a teacher may share to hearten student’s creativity. And, we do all have the potential for creativity.
