Following the success of the Fun Run activity “Takbo Para saLibro 2017,” the Learning Resources Management and Development Section (LRMDS) in partnership with the SGOD Social Mobilization and Networking Unit will hold its 2nd Fun Run, the Takbo Para sa Libro 2018, on December 27, 2018 at Bren Z. Guiao Sports Complex.

It is open for all the teaching and non-teaching personnel from both public and private schools.

As teachers, it is important for us to have a healthy lifestyle because of the excessive demands of our work. For us to maintain a healthy lifestyle, we can join activities like this Fun Run to ensure that we are able physically and mentally. Aside from this upcoming event, there are also local fun runs, walkathons, and marathons that are being organized around our area. The good thing is, we do not need to wait for this events to run. We can do it in a weekly or even daily basis every morning.

Going back to the “Takbo Para saLibro 2018,” a PisoZumbook (Zumba with 1 peso registration fee) will follow the fun run.

Many schools are now having Zumba sessions among the teachers, pupils, and parents once a week. It is also included in the action plan of school heads to hold Zumba sessions every week.

With this movement initiated by the LRMDS, the completion of the Development & Production Area of the LRMDS will now be realized. Aside from that, it can also benefit the individuals who will join the said activity.
