TEACHING: NOT ONLY A RESPONSIBILITY BUT AN ACCOUNTABILITY
PAUL ANNIEL M. DIZON
Teaching is the mother of all the professions. There will be no architects, no engineers, no doctors, no dentists and other professionals if there were no TEACHERS. Do they owe teachers of who they are now? Partly yes, but definitely their teachers just did their responsibility.
In teaching, educators MUST give their foot forward with excellence. Teaching is not only a responsibility but an ACCOUNTABILITY. As teachers, we must observe not only the professional standards but also the ethical standards. We are not perfect persons but teachers are regarded as models of all the p r of essi on al s.
If we cannot give one best in teaching and if we do not find joy in the educational system, then, QUIT. Many young minds/learners will suffer in their school hours inside the classroom of ineffective, irritable and negative attitudes of an education.
On the other hand, how impressive, appreciative we hear that there are those in the teaching field who exert efforts, money, time and energy to be an effective, productive and devoted educator and mentor. We may not be awarded as outstanding teachers but to do the RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY of a teacher is a reflection of an outstanding teacher. The learning we impart upon the students with enthusiasm, plus the character formation full of values will make a teacher the light of learners.
God is our boss. Give our best and he will reward us for this. If we only reflect every day before we meet our students, for sure the conviction of our ALMIGHTY GOD is teacher with excellence.
