LEARNING PROCESS
ANNET L. REYES
It has been noted that the acquisition of knowledge and knowledge and competencies is the target of learning before the pupils can apply or use it in the real word setting. Everyone has a lot to say on the start and end of learning. But, what really happens between the start and the end?
In the social learning theory of Bandura, it is underscored that people learn from one another. It implies that teacher is not the only source of learning. People observe, imitate or copy what others are doing. Through this, the process of remembering is being used. Kids try to remember what others do through keen observation. The actions, movements and messages being transferred are carefully imitated until they can execute their own without much consideration anymore on how did they copy the actions. The imitated learning slowly becomes part of the system of the pupils.
For a successful modelling to happen, it entails a firm attention on what others are doing. The actions and speeches are stored in the memory of the individual. Lastly, pupils show this desire to successfully do the same actions that they know they need to learn. This learning are satisfied when pupils can execute them outside the classroom setting which is the final stage of modelling.
