Guv: Philhealth collection reaches P1-B mark
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda announced yesterday during the flag raising ceremony here at the Capitol that the Philhealth collection for 2018 has reached P1,023,862,402.
Governor Pineda, sharing this feat to Capitol employees, also attributed this to the efforts of the chief of hospitals and staff in their efforts in utilizing the programs of the provincial government in every hospital.
According to Governor Pineda, since 2010 up to the present, her administration has allotted budgets for the benefit of Kapampangans, including medical and financial assistance, scholarship grants, aid to indigenous peoples, and rehabilitation of schools and hospitals.
Apart from health, education and infrastructure services, the lady governor also extended help for employment and livelihood, social, agriculture, fishery and livestock services.
“May you not forget what the provincial government has started,” she added, even if her term will end this year.
Governor Pineda also expressed her gratitude to everyone who prayed for her, as she underwent check-ups abroad. The lady governor clarified that she is good and healthy. Results from her positron emission tomography scan were negative.
Meanwhile, as the provincial government maintained its strong relationship with Philhealth, the newly-installed regional vice president paid a courtesy visit to Governor Pineda.
Dr. Elizabeth S. Fernandez from Bulacan congratulated the lady Governor for her health programs.
According to Governor Pineda, this has been her priority since her term started. For her, the people must feel that the services of the government are closer to them.
For this year, there will be 100,000 new Kapampangan Philhealth members.
