RESEARCH IS LOVE
Greater confidence in finding and using information may be an indication of a wider attitude towards reflective practice and professional development which leads me to an interest in research. To be involved in the research undertakings of the DepEd as well as of the Division of Mabalacat City, I have learned that the concept of knowledge utilization and the nature of practical decisions are very helpful which has strengthened my commitment as a teacher and teaches me on how to become more competent and research oriented. This greater awareness of the research process brings more confidence in me by making good judgements about the relevance and quality of information that I can use as a teacher.
After having been involved in research I have formulated personal philosophy in the form of Personal Decalogue.
1. Thou shalt have the PASSION in conducting research
2. Thou shalt have a MENTOR(s) and be a mentor
3. Thou shalt budget more TIME for everything
4. Thou shalt DO first things first
5. Thou shalt HONOR/CITE your study sites and authors
6. Thou shalt treat CRITICISMS constructively
7. Thou shalt PUBLISH
8. Thou shalt have a VISION for the future
9. Thou shalt have FUN
10.Thou shalt thank GOD all the way
We journey through life encountering, grappling with, and resolving problems that present powerful opportunities for learning. Love research and the rest will follow.
