Pabalate said that almost 200 families from Masantol and adjacent Macabebe town, whose main source of livelihood is their tiangge business, has benefitted from Guintu’s decision to move the open market day schedule.

She also disclosed that even during the implementa­tion of road clearing operations which prohibited any obstructio­ns on roads including ambulant vendors, Guintu ensured that vendors will still be given proper site to continue their livelihood.

“Uling king lugud at unawa yu pu king pusu yu, gagawan yu pung paralan para kumabye kaming 200 pamilyang mamasa mu pu king pamagtinda king tiangge kening sasakupan yung lugar. Ini mu pu metung a katibayan na ikayupu bilang Mayor mi, kapakanan mi pung sasakupan yu ing atsu king isip yu,” she said.

(Because of the love and understand­ing in your heart, you always made sure that the livelihood of 200 families will not be suspended. This is only a testament that as our mayor, our welfare is always your main concern.)

Several other vendors also publicly expressed gratitude to Guintu for providing another source of livelihood for their families by allowing and supporting the operation of “tiangge” in the town’s plaza.

“Dakal pong salamat ken malugud ming Mayor Danilo S. Guinto. Maragul pong bage a ginawa ko pong paralan na eyu po lubus leko in kekaming kabyayan, metung yapo ken asahan mi king kekaming pamilya in tiangge,” Remz Bustos posted.

(Thank you very much our beloved Mayor Danilo S. Guinty. It is very beneficial to us when you ensured that our livelihood will not totally abolished, especially that it helps in covering up our family’s expenses.)
