More patients benefit from SBF, PRC joint partnership
Security Bank Foundation, Inc. (SBFI) continues to aid Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Response Team in rescuing patients, through the bank’s donation of fully-equipped ambulance units. To date, the ambulances have saved 1,889 people, including 674 individuals who were involved in road crash incidents and medical emergencies.
Security Bank Foundation began equipping the PRC with ambulance units in 2015 to help the organization provide immediate life-saving services to victims of accidents and calamities. SBFI recently turned over two additional ambulance units to PRC which brings the total ambulance donation of SBFI to five since the start of the partnership.
“Security Bank Foundation was established with the aim of uplifting the quality of life in various communities. Although Security Bank Foundation has focused its advocacy on education, we cannot ignore the plight of our countrymen who were affected by calamities. Hence, Security Bank Foundation partnered with the Philippine Red Cross by expanding its capability to readily respond to emergencies,” said Rafael F. Simpao, Jr., chairman of Security Bank Foundation.
“As the preferred humanitarian partner, we assure SBFI that their support will reach the most vulnerable communities. This is a truly noble cause to help our countrymen in need of emergency medical services,” conveyed Senator Richard Gordon, PRC chairman and chief executive officer as he expressed his gratitude to SBFI.
