-

Inclusive teaching strategies refer to any number of teaching approaches that address the need of students with a variety of family backgrounds, learning disabilities and difficulties and different abilities. As a facilitator of learning, it indeed a difficult job to create accessible classroom , use a variety of instructional formats and develop a behaviour management plan.

In an inclusive classroom, students with special and exceptional needs are placed in inclusive learning environment. Every teacher wants to provide the best instruction and education for her students. Thus, the teacher and the parents share responsibility for students with special needs. In this case, in their classroom learners then have necessary resources in order to be successful someday. Inside their room students will grow and learn the competencies required in the curriculum.

Consequently, the following strategies may contribute to an overall inclusive learning environment in which students feel equally valued.

These are the 5 effective strategies: 1. Check and make sure the teacher has current documents of her students. 2. Implement universal design for learning to make learning engaging and accessible to wide range of students. 3. Support important life skills in order to be productive and contributing member of society. 4. Engage in collaborative planning and teaching to plan together and participate in collaborative teaching. Lastly, 5. Develop a strong behaviour management plan to have a clearly communicated expectations and goals accessible to all students.

Significantly, inclusive teaching strategies are designed to actively engage, include and challenge all students. Of course the stated strategies will promote inclusion, reduce stereotype threat, and foster a growth mind set.
