TO BE EFFECTIVE, BE APPRECIATIVE
Chello Ann M. De Guzman
Everybody wants to be appreciated, respected and favored. No one enjoy being annoyed, embarrassed, bullied and the like. All deserve to be praised, be loved and be blessed.
Working in a healthy workplace bounded with open-minded persons in contagious to work happy, satisfied and exert our best foot forward. Respect starts at home and it goes down to all corners that flows in the school, society, community and country.
Whatever our status be an employer, employee, a father, a mother, a politician in the highest rank will be happy when treated fairly and squarely. Work, task, responsibility and the like will be done smoothly and excellently. Truly, to be EFFECTIVE; be APRRECIATIVE. Appreciations like words of encouragement, body language, gestures are just simple yet approved signs of appreciations.
A handshake to a friend, a smile to an stranger, a hug to a loner, a tap on the shoulder of a loser will mean signs of encouragement especially to those who feel they do not have the sense of belongingness.
Rewards in different forms are likewise means of appreciations, certificates, simple items, gift checks will boost the eagerness of a worker to do better.
The burden of work, responsibility and obligation will be lightened when our boss, employers will recognize our efforts. Let us not forget the GOD will be the one to APPRECIATE our big efforts. These acts will not cost much, why not express words of encouragement, let us be Appreciative.
