Teachers as Catalysts for Teamwork and Admiration
RELIZA D. ALFONSO
As a teacher, we deal with students with different background and traits, every single day –which is a rather a difficult task. Because they have different backgrounds, it is quite hard for some students to work as a team-that is why as their mentors, we should instill in their minds that working as a team can helps them succeed. Team members do not want to let each other down and hence, do their best to contribute to success of their teams. But peer pressure is usually high within teams’ success that cases low morale are less likely to impact individuals. Students however need to realize that they would benefit in terms of increased output through having a well-organized team. Besides they will be able complete their tasks well ahead of the deadline.
According to Lao Tolstoy, “there is no greatness where there is no simplicity, goodness and truth.” As teacher, we should encourage our students to do what do they enjoy and love to do, in such a way they will improve their lives.
We must see to it that there is always improvement in our students in their undertakings, every day. They may feel burned out sometimes, but this will not last. Teachers should always took for something new and relevant on how to help students. We should work harmoniously with them, not just only touching the academic, but also on how to become a better persons in our society.
Another point I want to emphasize in this article is that admiring people is a broad commitment, and an effort to appreciate people. Through this, can build and shared trust and relationship. Teamwork, building a relationship, friendship and a good vision are very important in a student’s lives toward a professional growth and advancement.
