MABALACAT CITY --Bu si n essm en in Pampanga support government measures against the corona virus 2019 or COVID 19.

This was learned from

Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PamCham) President Rene Romero during an interview on Friday. "We are supporting the action of the government. Our governor, Dennis Pineda, asked the national government to extend the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ. The business sector supports this MGCQ because it is more relaxed," the business leader said in Pampango.

Romero however stressed that local traders need to contribute to government efforts to revive the economy.

Despite health standards that are implemented by the government, he said that businessmen in the province agreed to relaunch their respective businesses as soon as possible.

Pampanga traders, particularly those engaged in small businesses, are having difficulty in terms of operation and profitability.

"Akakit tamu dakal a magkasakit angiang mag restart la kareng karelang business lalu na retang small businesses. Deni talagang patriotism na ing gagawan da (We could see a lot of businesses, especially the small ones are having difficulties restarting. But what the do is real patriotism)," Romero sai d.

He mentioned that the minimun health standards imposed by the government affect the operation of businesses especially the small ones.

"Bakit ot magkasakit la inspite of didinan na lang permission ning gobiernu na mag restart la? It is because of the observing of social distancing, kailangan maka face mask ka, dakal itang health standards banta makapagumpisa ya ing metung a negosyu asne karakal a gastusan (Why is is they are having a hard time? It is because they have to observe social distancing, wear face masks and other many health standards which is expensive when they restar)t ," Romero said.

The PamCham top official also cited the limited capacity of business establishments including restaurants and others that offer services.

'Halimbawa mo ing restaurant, eme pweding sapakan. Ngeni 30 percent to 50 percent mu. So definitely it is a losing proposition for the business. But nevertheless, ing pisabisabi da reng negosyanti, makananu ta yang a revive ing economy para sikan ing business tamu nung ali tamu mamusning ditak ditak (As an example, you cannot fill up a restaurant, just around 30 percent to 50 percent. Nevertheless, our businessmen are one in helping revive the economy at least little by little)," Romero said.
