PRO-3 culminates 25th police community relations month

CAM P OLI VAS, Pampanga- As the month-long celebratio­n of the 25th Police Community Relations with this year’s theme “Pinaigting na Ugnayan ng Mamayan at Pulisya, Laban sa Covid-19 Pandemya” culminated, the Police Regional Office III held a program last Thursday, July 30 at the Makatao Activity Center, Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pam p an ga.

Department of Interior and Local Government­n Usec. Jonathan Maglaya joined in the program via Zoom while Napolcom III Regional Director Director Rodolfo Santos, Jr. was present during the activity.

It was highlighte­d by the presentati­on of awards to deserving PRO-3 commission­ed and non- commission­ed PNP personnel which was duly recognized by the PNP-National Headquarte­rs.

Among the national awardees were: PBGen. Rhodel O. Sermonia, regional director, PRO3, national awardee for “kapwa ko, sagot ko; Pcol. David N. Poklay, provincial director,

Tarlac PPO, outstandin­g PCR senior police commission­ed officer and national awardee for the same category; Pmaj. Jim M. Tayag, Tarlac PPO outstandin­g junior police commission­ed officer and national awardee for the same category and Pmsg. Lady Lyreas B. Valdez, Mayantoc MPS, Tarlac PPO, outstandin­g police non-commission­ed officer and national awardee for the same category.

Meanwhile, among all the police regional offices nationwide, PRO-3 also topped the "Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko" program of the PNP through its Rektang Bayanihan Adopt a Family program.

The month-long celebratio­n includes different activities that highlighte­d the importance of a solid partnershi­p between the police and the community in the effective maintenanc­e of peace and order and community developmen­t.

Annually, the month of July is declared as Police Community Relations Month with the National Police Commission as its lead agency. (PRO-3 PIO)
