TEACHING SUCCESSFULLY ARE GOLDEN MOMENTS

Connie Soliman

-

Teaching is not just merely conveying knowledge and skills to our students but more than that is imparting to our learners the awareness on how to use what they have learned to become better individuals. Teachers recognize their unending influence to their students and the influence should be life-changing and in a positive way.

Teachers prepare their lessons and inject activities so that the students will learn while having fun. When a discussion is lively and the students are enjoying, then the learning experience would be memorable. This is true to both teachers and students. Teachers are the ones that make the learning environment of students very engaging in every activity or games prepared, extremely amusing with all the entertaining presentations, and genuinely unforgettable involvement in each of the members of the group.

But the most beautiful thing about learning while enjoying is that no one can take that away from you. Teaching is not limited to sharing what one knows but teaching is also learning from the students. Once you have experienced the joy of teaching and compassionately communicate with the students, then every day can be characterized as a joyful service not only to students but the whole community as well. When we realize that our students learned something from us, when they have understood our explanation about the lesson, when they can freely express their thoughts and ask questions for further learning as their curiosity expands, we can then say that we have done our part. We have made a life-changing moment again for our students and for us as well. The more that teachers make learning enjoyable, the more the students want to learn. And when the students learn, these are our winning moments because we know that the students will benefit from these learnings and use them in their life to become the best that they can be.
