THE QUEST FOR HAPPINNES

Cristina P. Quizon

-

Finding happiness is like pursuing to catch a butterfly. The more that you chase it, the more it will avoid you. But if you turn your attention on other things, it will just sit quietly on your shoulder.

A lot of people relentlessly pursue happiness without realizing that they are so much occupied with the chase and that they are missing out on other things that make them really happy. It is much better to avoid making a conscious effort in finding happiness because this can’t be forced.

A way to make happiness come naturally is for you to be patient and you have to work diligently in accomplishing your tasks and that is already a start of real happiness because you need to make it as a guiding principle instead of making it as your aim.

Happiness is a part of one’s own perspective because the happiness of one person may not be the same as that of others. A person may already be satisfied with a simple life and be happy about it but for others, that may not be sufficient enough.

Everything is possible if we want to especially in the quest for happiness. Impossibility is just a perspective of one’s person facing a very difficult problem. A person who is lazy and unambitious does not acknowledge the possibility of something. We have to keep in mind that there are a lot of people who have done impossible and amazing things in life like climbing the highest mountains, leaping into the deepest seas and going into space. These are seemingly impossible examples but they were accomplished by many.

Do not restrict your potential and distance yourself from your goal. The secret to achieving happiness is faith, knowing that you can overpower all the obstacles in life. At the same time, do not forget to be optimistic, enthusiastic, passionate, determined, and hard-working so that you can keep your chances of success wide open.
