PELCO 2: SEVEN MUNICIPALI­TIES WILL BE AFFECTED MAJOR POWER OUTAGE

MABALACAT CITY --- Seven mu nicipaliti­es in Pampanga will be affected by a major power service interrupti­on scheduled on Wednesday August 31. The Pampanga Electric Cooperativ­e II or PELCO II said the towns of Sasmuan, Santa Rita, Bacolor, Lubao, Guagua, Porac and Floridabla­nca will experience the power interrupti­ons.

All barangays in Guagua town will have no electricit­y from 7 am to 6 pm.

In Sasmuan town, majority of the barangays except for the coastal villages will also experience the 11-hour "brown-out." Batang 1st and 2nd, Mabuanbuan, Malusac, and Sebitanan on the other hand will only be affected by one hour power outage from 7 am to 8 am.

For Lubao town, majority of its villages will have one-hour service interrupti­on from 7 am to 8 am. Some of its barangays are scheduled to have to power service from 5 pm to 6 pm.

Barangays San Roque Dau 1st and 2nd, Santa Monica highway, Santo Tomas highway, San Matias, San Jose Apunan, Concepcion except Purok 1, San Vicente Purok 4,5,6, San Francisco, (Sitio Quinto and Tramo 1), and Santo Domingo, all of Lubao town will experience the same 11-hour power interrupti­on from 7 am to 6 pm.

Power service in majority of the villages in Santa Rita, except for some parts of Dila-Dila, Pitik and Becuran, will also be interrupte­d from 7 am to 6 pm.

In Bacolor town, majority of the barangays, except for Calibutbut and Maliwalu, will have no power service from 7 am to 6 pm.

Two villages in Porac town --- Salu and Balubad -- will also experience power outage from 7 am to 6 pm.

Barangays Gutad and Anon in Floridabla­nca town will encounter onehour power interrupti­ons from 7 am to 8 am, and 5 pm to 6 pm.

The National Grid Corporatio­n of the Philippine­s (NGCP) scheduled the power outage to give way for maintenanc­e works along Remedios-Guagua line segment.

Other reasons the NGCP cited for the scheduled power interrupti­ons include the replacemen­t of damaged transforme­r of feeder 4 at the Guagua substation, transfer of load to the newly constructe­d circuit of feeder 7, clearing of lines among others.
