Maja Salvador returns to ABS-CBN via "Iron Heart"

Maja Salvador is set to star alongside Richard Gutierrez in the upcoming ABS-CBN actiondram­a series "Iron Heart", which will also mark Maja's return to the Kapamilya network after two years.

The exciting news was confirmed by ABSCBN entertainm­ent unit Star Creatives in an Instagram post dated September 27, 2022.

The post featured behind-the-scenes photo from the series with the caption (published as is): "Starring Richard Gutierrez kasama sina Maja Salvador, Sue Ramirez and Jake Cuenca. To be shot entirely in Cebu."

On Twitter, Maja also teases her long-awaited comeback as she shared a photo of her smiling while looking at Richard who is resting his head on her lap.

She wrote in the caption, "SOON" with red, green, and blue heart emoji which symbolizes the colors of the network's iconic logo.

Richard also shared the same photo on his Instagram stories, saying, "Soon on primetime."

Maja's casting in Iron Heart comes two years after Killer Bride, her last project in ABS-CBN which ended in 2020.

Meanwhile, Maja will remain visible on both GMA-7 and TV-5, where she has ongoing shows in addition to her forthcomin­g return as a Kapam i l ya.

Maja became part of TV5's shows Niña and Niño, Oh My Korona, and Sunday Noontime Live.

In October 2021, Maja joined the GMA-7 long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga! as one of the hosts.

Lea Salonga has been recognized as one of the honorees of TIME magazine’s TIME100 Impact Awards, which is given to personalit­ies who have “gone above and beyond” to move their respective industries forward.

The Broadway singer-actress has been named as one of the recipients of TIME magazine’s TIME100 Impact Awards, which recognizes “global leaders who have gone above and beyond to move their industries— and the world— forward.”

On September 25, 2022, TIME published an article on its website titled "THE TIME100 IMPACT AWARDS." It described Lea as the "Voice of Disney Princesses" and "a life-long role model for kids of color."

Aside from crediting Lea as the singing voice of two iconic Asian Disney princesses, Jasmine and Mulan, TIME also recognized some of Lea’s notable and iconic roles on stage, including Tuptim in The King and I, Kim in Miss Saigon, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Eponine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway.

The feature also mentioned Lea's onscreen roles as Gail in Yellow Rose, and Elodie in the HBO MAX series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, the prequel to the American drama series Pretty Little Liars.
