“WHO IS YOUR MEMORABLE TEACHER?”

“To Teach is to Touch the Lives of the Students Forever”, this is a formula that I encountered way back in college given to us by one of our instructor. I was moved by this quotation that’s why it’s really remarkable for me. We can teach anything under the sun because we have the ability and flexibility to adapt. Hence, not all teachers are remarkable when it comes to the perception of our learners. We all have different experiences to our teachers. Some of them inspires us, in the contrary and the sad reality some of them gave us not that good memories but we always pay high respect to our teachers. A lot of students especially in primary level, trust their teachers more than their parents. Based on my experience to my cousins, when helping them to their assignments, they much believe on me than their parents because I’m a teacher. Learners tend to fully trust their teachers starting to the primary level that’s why if they encounter bad experience from their teacher it may result to trauma or the learner doesn’t want to attend to school anymore. Showing different categories on how teachers became memorable from the perspective of the students. Students want to be heard, they want to show their abilities and teachers helps a lot with this. Teachers always play a vital role in the lives of students, those who always cheer them up, always support their back, use real-life examples and making it as a stepping stone to face the real world scenarios. Those who use different ways to teach, those who are not afraid of innovations, those who always find solutions to problems, those who make difficult things easy, these are characteristics of memorable teachers. But, we cannot aim everything to be perfect, teachers, also face different difficulties in every day, that’s why we always have to wear a mask so that others would not see it. Some of the difficulties are: relationship between teachers and parents (they are not cooperative most of the time) small interest from the learners, poor assistance, etc. As teachers we have to let the learners explore through the help of different strategies that enhance their abilities, giving them freedom to display and developing the learning activity creatively. Everything we plan is somehow a trial and error so if Plan A didn’t work, you must have other backups. Out of all the categories, the highest percentage or the highest number that agrees is the Didactic knowledge wherein they have distinctive nature. It is related to narrative teachers who narrate their life-experiences that inspire and motivate learners then become learning scenarios that is linked and supported by the employment imagination of the learners that leads to didactic situation. Also, teacher in the category of didactic knowledge has the ability to connect the learnings and knowledge proposed by the students in the classroom, with real-life application and current events.
