SCHOOL LEADERS IN TIME OF PANDEMIC

During a crisis, if there are someone who we can consider and be called also as heroes, they are the leaders. They are the ones who have different roles, tasks, and obligation­s that they need to do, not just because it is part of their duties and they are being paid for it, but because they have the heart to serve the people and they have the welfare for their fellow.

School leaders’ most important function is to set objectives which can address the needs of the learners, teachers, and the community. He also must have the plans on how to materializ­e those objectives with the help of his members. He should encourage and motivate his members to do better and to be productive, especially during pandemic. He must have the will power to direct and inspire his member to their work more efficient and effective. The members should feel the support and empathy from their leader, so that they will feel that they are not just the one who work, rather they work with their leader.

Another role of a leader is to think of some strategic ways on how he can continue serving his people and members despite of the pandemic. He must think of the best way possible oh how he can still reach them in this time of difficulti­es. Another is, communicat­ing other people who can contribute to the plans and for the betterment of the people. He also has the role to help people and his members to uplift and motivate to work hard to overcome the difficulti­es amidst crises.

Giving support and maintainin­g peace and order is also part of the roles of the leaders. During the time of crisis, it is very essential to have a peaceful community and a good and harmonious workplace for a more effective and productive members. These matters are said to be significan­t because, the wellness and psychologi­cal health of people was very important. Avoiding conflicts among members and peaceful environmen­t are of great help to attain oneness and unity among members. All these will be possible if the leader knows his role and he is sensitive to every situation, as well as the concept of equity and empathy are presence.
