PHA wants cardio care accessible

Association (PHA) wantscardiovascular care accessible to everyone considering the growing prevalence of Cardio Vascular Diseases (CVD) in the country.
PHA officials made the statement during their two-day Midyear Convention 2024 held at SMX Convention Center from January 12-13, 2024.
With over 200 professionals from across the country in attendance, the convention aims to address the shortage of heart doctors by providing essential education and empowering noncardiologist physicians with fundamental knowledge of CVD.
Carrying the theme "Cardiology For All," the convention highlights the PHA's commitment to making cardiovascular care accessible to everyone, considering the prevalence of CVD in the country.

PHA President Ronaldo Cuyco said the PHA Midyear Convention has not been held for nearly four years, with the last one occurring in Cebu prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The convention is co-organized by the PHA Central Luzon chapter, led by Dr.
Rayzen Canono-Lim, who is known for their active involvement in the society.
