WHY DO WE NEED VALUES EDUCATION?

$ccording to 0artin /uther -r., ³intelligence plus character´ is the real goal of education. , agree with him. We must complete education, which can happen if we teach our youth scientific wisdom alongside values liNe forgiveness, love, cooperation, and Nindness. Without these things, high intelligence could Ee inadeTuate. 9alues Education is the aggregate of all the processes using which a person develops aEilities and other forms of Eehavior of the positive values in the society in which he lives. /earning is relevant when students understand how this information and sNills have some application in their lives. 6tudents had opportunities to follow their process rather than learning ³the facts´. 7hey are an integral part of educating for a sustainaEle future. 6ome characteristics of values education include collective identity that promotes respect and understanding of diversity Eeyond cultural, religious, and ethnic differences. 7he second is critical thinNing, a process of identifying different perspectives and angles to proElems. 7he ne[t one is the gloEal vision, which deepens Nnowledge of world proElems and values such as justice and eTuality. 7he fourth is the social sNills that encourage empathy, communication, and interaction. 7he last one is cooperation, which promotes collaEoration to find gloEal solutions to proE lems and defend the collective goods. 7hese characteristics are essential things for a st &entury learners of today. 8nderstanding values is essential in understanding worldviews and other perspec tives and points of view. 6imilarly, it is the process Ey which people give moral values to others. ,t can Ee an activity that taNes place in any organi]ation during which people assisted Ey other people, who may Ee older, in condition e[perienced to maNe e[plicit our ethics to assess the effectiveness of these values and associated Eehavior for their own and other s long term well Eeing and to reflect on and acTuire other values and Eehavior which they recogni]e as Eeing more effective for the long term well Eeing of self and others. 7o enhance the Tuality of education, the same must Ee completed.
