INCLUSIVE EDUCATION FOR LEARNERS

-

MELANIE R. TANAEL

Today’s new trend of education, it is essential to promote inclusive education in responding to the learning needs of all students. Designing diverse approaches can enrich learners’ academic performance by allowing them to engage in stimulating discussion, fun and motivating learning environment. Learners are more motivated when exposed to different learning enhancement activities. Inclusive education is necessary in teaching and learning. It builds security in providing accessible and equitable learning opportunities to all learners. This learning program is an opportunity for the learners to be heard and that all learners have the chance to participate fully in the classroom activities. According to Salazar (2009) in implementing inclusive education, teachers should exhibit a best practice with a combination of intrapersonal and interpersonal awareness, constant curriculum review and competency on inclusive practices. Specifically, inclusive teaching begins by discovering the different learning styles of the pupils. This can be easily implemented by developing appropriate learning pedagogies for all multiple intelligences. With this program, teachers are encouraging to establish collaboration with parents in developing learners’ competencies in all learning areas. On my part, it is my goal to utilize creative strategies in ensuring that all of my learners experience inclusive education. Let us all become the inspiration of all our learners for them to feel that they are belong with the learning that we are sharing with them. Teachers are great learning providers therefore let us use these abilities to develop the future leaders of our country.
