OLIVER M. SANGALANG

For a child's education and general growth, parental engagement is essential. The achievement of a kid may be greatly impacted by the active participation of their parents in their academic path. To comprehend the importance of parent participation and pinpoint areas in need of development, it is important to assess its results. With the teachers, they must collaborate. Although parents are not always teachers, teachers are not always parents. Since parents are required to reinforce the lessons, their children have learnt in school, their engagement is crucial. Collaborating with the teachers is crucial, as they are their children's primary educators. The link between the home and the school was apparent to the kids.

A child feels prouder of themselves when they witness their parents encouraging extracurricular activities. When it comes to self-esteem, the biggest effect of parental participation is felt. The children benefit from having their parents there because they feel good about themselves, and they know they are welcome at the school. Parental involvement in school activities can take many different forms. In addition to helping the school with fund-raising, they might also serve as tutors in remedial classes for slow learners and enrichment classes for quick learners, coach during various contests sponsored by various groups, and attend parent-teacher conferences.

Having many parents involved is ideal since they are the ones who can be trusted to give their children the best education possible. Taking part directly in the decision-making process with educators is crucial. A deeper comprehension and greater actions are facilitated by this involvement. It's felt that communication between the parents and the school is necessary. Action taken by parents in the classroom matters. Parents need to reinforce what their children learn outside of the classroom by modeling good behavior. As a teaching team with shared educational objectives, parents and teachers must work together. Student academic performance can be improved when parents and teachers collaborate. Success is increased. Academic success is the product of parents and schools.
