CREATING IMPACT IN EDUCATION
Sharon Grace Joy Buendia Valencia
The role of a teacher in the process of teaching and learning is undoubtedly challenging yet crucial. The societal importance of a teacher is widely acknowledged. In my perspective, a truly dedicated teacher serves as a source of inspiration for all learners. So, how can we bring about a positive change in teaching?
Effective educators adeptly manage their time and design engaging and enjoyable activities within a conducive learning environment. This approach fosters a sense of comfort and belonging among learners. While making a difference in teaching is not a simple task, every teacher can contribute in their own unique way.
Exceptional teachers not only impart knowledge and skills but also instill a love for and enjoyment of the subjects they teach. Making a difference as a teacher involves embodying characteristics such as enthusiasm, creativity, and positivity. While these qualities can manifest in various ways, the ultimate objective is to consistently inspire highly motivated learners, paving the way for academic excellence.
Organizational skills are another vital aspect of effective teaching. A well-organized classroom contributes significantly to a teacher's effectiveness. By setting goals and organizing daily lessons, teachers can present their material in a highly effective manner. When teachers exhibit these qualities, learners not only observe and emulate them but also integrate these attributes into their daily lives, transforming them into lifelong learners of the 21st century.
