ELECTRONIC MODULE (E-MODULE) SUPPLEMENTS TEACHING-LEARNING
RAYMOND S. MANALASTAS, PHD
The studies done by TIMSS 2019 and PISA 2022 continue to show how poorly science is ranked. There is still no ideal method, despite the numerous studies that have been done in an attempt to improve its current standing in the field of international education. As a whole, science education continues to lag behind.
Since teachers are the ones who create and implement the lesson plans and processes, it is entirely their responsibility to determine whether or not they meet the learning objectives. To ensure that instruction is effective, these goals need to be appropriate for the assessment and evaluation that are used afterward. In order to determine whether the learning objectives have been met, evaluation of the students' progress must also be conducted. However, none of these tasks could be helpful in uplifting the students’ achievement.
The writer, therefore introduced the use of Electronic Module (E-Module) as supplementary materials during instruction. This Electronic Module, which uses Kotobee Author as its primary platform, is an offline tool for talking about science concepts. The courses will be organized using a variety of computer technologies, including Microsoft Office, Vexel Art, and book widgets. The inquiry-based and multidisciplinary contextualization methodologies were used to create the lessons.
The use of E-Module poses several advantages. This compensates to the trend of learning of our present learners who are termed “digital natives.” The ease and user-friendliness of the tool is high since it can be operated in almost types of gadgets. Moreover, it is chief because it can be utilized offline without maximum reliance on the internet.
