RAYMOND S. MANALASTAS, PHD
Research on successful teaching is growing at an astounding rate. 7hey are aware that all students reTuire intentional teaching of reading techniTues and tactics, encouragement to read, access to a large range of texts, and real-world chances for writing and reading both within and outside of the classroom. 7hey are also aware that the learners must advance their proficiency in spoken language, phonemic awareness, phonics vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, among other areas of reading and writing. 7hey are also all aware of the importance of a teacher's abilities and how they utili]e their allotted instructional time.
7eachers bear full responsibility for ensuring that they achieve the learning obMectives since they are the ones who create and implement the instructional materials and procedures. 7hese goals need to be suitable for the methods of assessment and evaluation that are being utili]ed in order to guarantee that education is effective. An assessment of learners' learning should also be carried out in order to ascertain whether the educational obMectives have been fulfilled. In the sphere of education, teachers genuinely hold the most sway Manalastas 'e /eon, .
:ith the massive amount of learning gaps recorded in the education sector, teachers are advise to completely rediscover previously stored content. 7hey must take a more active role in navigating the learning ship Must by virtue of their very existence in the classroom. 7hey must take the wheel back and guide their students back onto the correct course. 7hey must recalibrate in order to determine the current state of teaching and how to oversee its delivery once more.
7he writer has therefore made the decision to experiment with a Gradual Release of Responsibility GRR Model in order to modify the pace of instruction and learning. It is an instruction that necessitates that the teacher move from presuming to a situation in which the pupils assume all the responsibilities. 7his type of instruction involves a series of tasks that transfer accountability from the instructor to the pupil. 7his method aims to give the learner efficacy and autonomy²ideally, the capacity to impart knowledge independently. :ith this, we hope that the academic performance of the learners be improved.
